Opening The Village marked the grand opening of our new space in Strijp-S, which offered a unique opportunity to join in on workshops and participate in interactive installations. In addition to these sessions, visitors had the opportunity to meet with the We Are Villagers and learn more about their experience in the design field.
To start off the event, co-founders Bernhard Lenger, Karen van Luttervelt and Kornelia Dimitrova took the stage. Bernhard shared an inspiring speech, regarding insights into the developments of the foundation. Following this, Kornelia officially opened the doors to Foundation We Are.
The event featured a diverse lineup of designers who are part of the village.
Bernhard Lenger hosted the Social Design Desk, Robin Vermeulen led Cultural Funding Speeddates, Karin Mommers conducted a workshop on team action and motivation, Marleen van Bergeijk hosted a session on Value Creation, Alex Szwaj and Nicole Johnson presented the interactive Community Wall, and Bjorn Nieuwenhoff served delicious cocktails at The Village.
Opening The Village was a success, thanks to the participation of all who attended. The energy, creativity and connections created during the evening were inspiring.
