The city is made by all of us, yet often as individuals we lose track of our real tangible ability to affect and move the city. In this series we dive into the agency we have as citizens and inhabitants.

We shape the city together. But sometimes, we forget just how much impact each of us can have. In this first dialogue, we explore the power that emerges when we, as residents and citizens, bring our unique perspectives on the city and our surroundings into conversation.

In a talk moderated by Robin Vermeulen, we’ll dive deeper into this topic alongside three speakers: Lara van der Poel and Leonie Schepers. Three creative makers who use design to contribute to social developments in Eindhoven.

Common Grounds is a series of Urban Talks curated by Foundation We Are. We bring different perspectives together around urban questions. Together with young makers, local residents, experts, and artists—each building an inclusive future in their own way. During the series, we don’t just talk. We connect. By combining conversations with other artistic forms, we create space for encounter, understanding, and new insights.
