After three years residing at De Caai (formerly the Campinaterrain) in Eindhoven, we are going to move our headquarters and community space to Strijp-S. We will take over the space of YKSI expo where we will have an incredible amount of 600m² which will be filled with atelier spaces, a café/restaurant, a design shop and lots of space for events and exhibitions.
Leonne Cuppen will step down from the Yksi Expo foundation on January 1, 2023. After more than 31 years, she is passing the baton to the younger generation. On the site of Yksi Expo on the Torenallee at Strijp S we will set up our new headquarters. With her company Yksi Connect, Leonne Cuppen remains active in the world of sustainable and circular design. We will do our best to follow in the footsteps of Leonne to create a space that shows how design can contribute to the tackling of current societal challenges.
Join the new Community space!
At We Are we will again have several atelier spaces for socially engaged creatives. As in previous places, we are looking for creatives that would like to join our community and have their working spaces at Foundation We Are.
Within the community we aim to collaborate, exchange knowledge and present our work to a broader audience. In this way, we can show what design can do on current societal challenges. Within our new community space we have different possibilities, from a desk to separate houses within our community village. Community members will have exclusive access to the shared space and the facilities of We Are such as a printing workshop, film & photography studio and a variety of tools. We aim for a mix of experienced and starting designers so that we can grow not only as a community but as well professionally.
